Atween Terms of Service (Overseas)

Last updated: 10 July 2026 (overseas draft)

Effective date: upon formal release

Version: v0.1-overseas-review-draft

Not submittable yet. Overseas review draft. The contracting entity, governing law, dispute forum and consumer disclosures are fixed at release per region. Core invariants are identical to the domestic version.

Welcome to Atween. What you see is AI-organised, not a human. Atween is not a medical, psychological, legal, financial or relationship-arbitration service. You may use it for this session only, delete, export, deliver to the other person, or stop at any time.

1. The service

Atween provides personal recording, life-stream review, Echo organisation, relationship-communication support, Talk-It-Through, pre-delivery preview, export and deletion, complaints, and safety support, together with AI assistance. The AI helps organise facts, rhythm and draft expression and surface safety; it does not decide who is right, and it does not make major decisions for you.

The platform never hands your intimate content, the other person's words, or full media to any model, operator or third party without a controlled boundary. AI reads only the minimum material needed for the current purpose, still authorised and not deleted.

2. Accounts

Overseas accounts use email one-time codes and Sign in with Apple / Google. You must not impersonate, bulk-register, rent, lend or sell accounts. Keep your credentials and recovery code safe. In-app paths provide account management, sign-out of all devices, and account deletion. Deleting your account does not erase records we must keep by law (orders, disputes, security audits), but those are stored separately from intimate content and de-identified where possible. Data you clearly delete must not reappear via caches, queues, retries, long-term understanding, indexes or model context.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use Atween to create, upload, save or deliver unlawful, abusive, harassing, violent, hateful, sexual, fraudulent or privacy-infringing content; you must not jailbreak, spoof, automate, bypass safety, attack, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the service; and you must not use it for high-risk decisions (medical, legal, financial, credit, hiring, weapons, self-harm or harm-to-others guidance, gambling, control of another person).

4. Your content and AI output

You keep your rights over what you submit, and warrant you have lawful source and necessary authorisation for material about others. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; review it before saving, delivering or relying on it. Anything prepared for the other person must be previewed and confirmed by you; unconfirmed originals, media, transcripts, guesses or internal analysis are never sent.

5. AI transparency, anthropomorphic interaction and exit (AI Act / consumer protection)

All AI-generated or AI-organised content is labelled as such; you must not maliciously remove the label. Atween reminds you that AI is not a person and does not promise companionship, cure, diagnosis or arbitration. After a disclosed duration of continuous anthropomorphic interaction (2 hours), or when a published safety rule triggers, ordinary interaction pauses, explains what happened, and offers stop, exit, emergency contacts, help resources or human appeal. You can exit by button, keyword or voice ("stop", "I'm done", "exit"); once a clear exit intent is recognised, we do not obstruct exit with追问 (follow-up questions), emotional retention, countdowns or payment prompts. We do not show you system-guessed emotion, personality or relationship labels.

6. Data and sovereignty

See the Privacy Policy, Collected-Information List, Sub-processor List and App Permissions. You can view, copy, export and delete your records, switch off long-term understanding or "voice cues for AI understanding", withdraw training consent, manage permissions, delete your account, and complain or appeal. Deleting an original voice or record propagates to transcripts, cues, emotion candidates, long-term understanding, indexes and future Context Capsules. Settings text alone is not a substitute for real backend execution; deletion, export, withdrawal, deletion-of-account, complaints and delivery produce verifiable status or receipts.

7. Purchases (subscriptions)

The overseas version offers paid subscriptions via the App Store and Google Play (store-managed billing). Before you buy we disclose the subscription term, price and renewal behaviour; subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel, and you can cancel at any time through your store account or the in-app path, without penalty. Where a statutory withdrawal/cooling-off right applies to digital content (for example the 14-day right under EU/UK consumer law), it is honoured to the extent the law requires; if you start using the content during the cooling-off period with your express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right, that waiver applies only as the law permits. Refunds are handled by the store's managed refund process. Crisis, safety, deletion, export, complaint, exit and the baseline service are never paywalled.

8. Complaints and appeals (DSA)

You can report illegal content or appeal decisions through in-app paths. We acknowledge receipt, process by risk, give a reasoned outcome and provide an appeal route. Use de-identified descriptions; we do not require you to repeatedly paste intimate originals or the other person's words.

9. Liability, changes, termination

We provide the service with current technology; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or always-accurate AI output. Liability is limited to the extent law permits; nothing excludes liability that law forbids excluding. We may change, suspend or end parts of the service for iteration, maintenance, security, supplier, compliance or force-majeure reasons, with reasonable notice and necessary paths for your data, paid rights (if any), deletion, export, account and complaints.

10. Governing law and disputes

The contracting entity, governing law and dispute forum are those of your region of residence, published at release, and mandatory consumer protections of your residence apply regardless of choice of law. Contact details and the complaints channel are published at release.
